Any hobbies:

I started CrossFit in high school, and when I moved to auburn for college I wanted to find a gym. I heard that CFP was the best gym around and so I checked it out and felt at home right away!

How did you get into Crossfit?

When I coach a class, I want it to be the best hour of everyone’s day. I love using different games in the warm up to start the class off the right way. I also try to give every single person some type of feedback, whether it be about form or something they could have done better in the workout. Encouraging others and staying positive is always very important. I believe that a coach and athlete relationship is very important not for only the athlete to grow, but also for the coach!

How would you describe your coaching style?

I’m pretty laid back in general, so that tends to come out in my coaching style. I’ve learned so much in the last 10 years of doing CrossFit, so I try to use that knowledge to help teach people. Most of all, I’d say I try to keep things positive; you can tell people all day what they’re doing wrong, but the most effective coaches focus on what athletes are doing right and building on that.
